Serum Tier List — reshuffled by UPDATE 4 (Colossal Serum added)
Live update 2026-04-25 · UPDATE 4 launched today (Colossal Serum lands at S+) · from my own runs, not scraped
Live update — UPDATE 4 went live tonight (April 25, 2026, around 7:30 PM server time). The Colossal Serum is now a real thing. I've added it as a new S+ tier above the existing stack, with skill-by-skill numbers from the patch notes (not yet field-tested for me — those will land in the next patch of this page once I've done a Day-1 raid). For an interactive single-target read, see the new Colossal Titan build calculator.
The thing I keep telling people on Discord: UPDATE 4 didn't kill any tier, but it did change the shape of the curve. The new Colossal Serum sits comfortably above Tier S as its own thing. Tier S is still strong on its ceiling. Tier B lost its sweet spot on Armored. Tier C is still the trap it always was. I ran the full pre-launch ladder twice this week and here's what I saw, plus the Day-0 Colossal read from patch notes.
Tier S+ — Colossal Serum (new in UPDATE 4)
The Colossal Serum is the headline addition. It doesn't play like the existing tiers — it's less a flat damage ceiling and more a kit of three big skills with their own scalings. From the patch notes the rough shape is:
- Seismic Shock — around 1000%+ at max level. Single-target nuke; front-load this on bosses.
- Tectonic Quake — around 800% main hit + 400% bonus on Titans caught in the path. AoE clear.
- Volley — "massive" in the patch notes (vague), with bonus flaming-debris damage. Long cooldown.
- Walkover instakill — yes, you can step on smaller Titans and one-shot them.
Family pairing matters more here than on any other serum. The Arlert family gives a clean AoE bonus and movement speed buff specifically when shifted into Colossal — it pairs into Tectonic Quake and Volley cleanly. Yeager gives flat Titan-stat boosts which apply broadly. Marley/Warhammer family is OK but doesn't scale with the AoE skills the way Arlert does.
Caveat: I'm writing this within a few hours of UPDATE 4's launch. The numbers above are from Fandom's patch-note write-up plus the Update 4 trailer breakdown, not from my own runs yet. I'll repatch this section in 48 hours once I've done a few Colossal Raid attempts.
Tier S — base around 1.8M
My one Tier-S serum ran at roughly 1.8M base, up from what I remember as a ~1.5M reading pre-patch. That's a real ceiling bump, and it's why S-tier farmers suddenly look fast again. The downside: Tier S is still gated behind low-drop-rate events, so unless you're already sitting on one, this is a fantasy ranking for most of us.
Tier A — the actual meta
If you're farming the game right now, Tier A is your realistic ceiling. I'm getting around 1.15M base, and with a shifter build plus Luck II, I clear the 40M grind milestone in roughly 3 hours. UPDATE 4 didn't hit Tier-A directly, which means it actually rose relatively — everything below felt weaker.
Side note that I don't see discussed much: Tier-A serums drop more consistently from the Breakout event, which UPDATE 4 rebalanced. I farmed six Tier-A pulls across around 4 hours of Breakout this week, which is the cleanest I've seen the rate in months.
Tier B — the forgotten mid
Tier B took the biggest relative hit. My reading is around 720K base, and Armored Titan's nape-armor fix means Tier-B Ackerman against Armored is now a genuinely bad time. On Beast? Still fine. On Colossal? Fine. But the versatility Tier B used to sell you is gone.
If you're on Tier B and grinding for Tier A, my read is: stay on Colossal runs, skip Armored, and don't try to flex into Ackerman builds until you upgrade the serum.
Tier C — the honest trap
Tier C sits around 410K base. That's not inherently terrible — a Tier-C run with Luck IV will still clear content — but the per-hour efficiency is genuinely punishing. If you're sitting on a Tier-C serum and you're about to sink 5 hours into grinding with it, please go do Breakout instead. Drop a Tier-A, then come back.
What I'm not sure about yet
I haven't run a full Tier-S vs Tier-A parity test with matched Luck IV and matched boss. I'm one person, I had one Tier-S serum. The theoretical gap is ~1.5x, my field read says closer to 1.6x, but I want another two or three runs before I trust that.
